Gary Coleman died Friday and is survived by his wife, Shannon Price; the couple lived in Utah and met on the set of a movie. Coleman died of an intracranial hemorrhage (bleeding in the skull). His family and friends were with him when the doctors at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo turned off his life support shortly after 1 pm Friday.
The hospital released a statement Friday morning saying that Coleman collapsed and hit his head at his home on Wednesday and when he became unconscious on Thursday he was taken to the hospital. He has been unconscious ever since.
Coleman, 42, is a former child TV star who was best known for his role on the TV show “Diff’rent Strokes” which aired from 1978-1986. See the video’s below.
Coleman has lived in Santaquin, Utah since 2005. Coleman came to Utah to star in the movie Church Ball and met his wife, Shannon Price on the set of the movie and they were married in 2007.
